The Mission Statement for the Houghton Housing Commission is to assist low-income families with safe, decent, and affordable housing opportunity as they strive to achieve self-sufficiency and improve the quality of their lives. The Housing Commission is committed to operating in an efficient, ethical, and professional manner. We will partner with our Residents and others to enhance the quality of life in our community.

The Houghton Housing Commission manages the day-to-day operations of Heritage Manor and thirty family houses with four employees and a five-member board of Commissioners who are appointed by the City Council of Houghton.

Location and Hours
Our office is located at Heritage Manor, 401 E. Montezuma Avenue in Houghton. Visitor parking is located on the East side of the building next to the Methodist Church.

Office Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (closed from 12:00 -1:00 and holidays)
